The Department of Library and Information Science observes Khadi Day every Wednesday.
Remedial Classes are conducted to improve the communication skills of the students.
The faculty members engage extra classes for the students to prepare for SLET / NET examinations regularly.
The faculty members mentor students from the 1st semester to improve learning activities, dissertations preparation and enhance their employability skills.
Special talks are organized every month for the benefit of the students and research scholars by inviting our own alumni as well as experts from various other departments of our own university.
The Department follows the guidelines given by the Govt. of India to make it plastic free zone.
The Department has unique practice of organizing Educational Tour to the III / IV semester students to Delhi where the student studies all the Important / National Importance Libraries such as Parliament Library, Delhi Public Library, Indian Institute of Technology Library, Central Secretariate Library, NASSDOC, DESIDOC (DRDO), American Centre, British Council etc.
