FUTURE PLANS

Northern part of Karnataka is rich with Jaina literature, art and Architecture. It has a rich cultural heritage. There are a lot of documents in the form of manuscripts, inscriptions to study about jainism. There is rich Jaina literature to speak about the truth, equality, non violence and sacrifice, the preaching’s of great jaina thirthankar’s which are relevant to the present generation and community which can bring harmony among the multicultural country like India. It is necessary to study and analyse the philosophy of Jaina religion which honours all other preaching’s and advocates co-operative life. The department intends to have the projects to go for the in-depth study of Jaina literature-philosophy and go for the comparative study of other great philosophers of India in particular and philosophers of east and west in general.
