To maintain the existing infrastructure and to enhance its quality suits to the students need.
It seeks to enhance the geographic knowledge through the effective research and extend the horizon by the adopting innovative research tools, techniques and technology. The research facilities will be extended to the research scholars and other stakeholders.
The knowledge of the use of remote sensing and Geographical Information Systems; related software’s and processing of remote sensing images to obtain the spatial data; and integrating spatial and non-spatial data in the geographical environments, to enable them to carry out effective research and purposeful decision making.
To organize national and international conferences/seminars on relevant issues and create a platform to the students, research scholars, academicians and also planners to share their experience, research outputs and innovative methodology for providing new dimension of the discipline for the sustainable developments goals point of view.
Special attention will be paid to focus on multi-disciplinary academic activities to encourage the students, researchers and planners, to adopt a multi-dimensional approach to tackle the common issues in the society.
To arrange programmes for creating awareness among students and the society with regard to the interaction between nature, human society and environment for emphasizing the significance of sustainable development as well as behavioural changes needed to achieve it.
