EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

The Department of Studies in Philosophy and Swami Vivekananda Centre have been jointly organizing Swami Vivekananda’s Birth Anniversary as ‘Youth’s day’ on 12 January every year. This year (12-01-2020) on this auspicious day both departments jointly conducted a Jatha from the Administrative Building to our department, in which the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Teaching and Non-teaching staff and students of our University participated. Two days before this jatha the NSS students of our University, staff and students of our department jointly cleaned the premises of the Department of Studies in Philosophy and Swami Vivekananda Centre. Snacks and tea was provided to the students on both days. The program concluded with special lectures on Swami Vivekananda’s thoughts, etc, in the auditorium of the Department of Gandhian Studies, Karnatak University, Dharwad. On this accession the Honourable Vice-Chancellor garlanded Swami Vivekananda’s statue in the Centre and planted trees in the premises of our department
