To continue need based research activities and consultancy with GO/NGO’s, CBOs, Hospitals and Industries etc.
To increase research publications, literature, documentation and models of practice, E-materials in the various fields of social work especially in Kannada language.
To increase the frequency of undertaking extension activities by the department and students as a part of their field work learning, so as to carve a niche for the department in collaboration with local/state/national/international reputed organization, institutions/universities/ etc. programmes in various areas as an agent of social change.
To enhance the efforts of the department in developing and promoting employability skills and Entrepreneurship.
The Department proposes to have a placement cell on a regular basis, as the department has already created students database and arranging campus interviews from time to time.
The department proposes to initiate a Student Counseling Center and Diploma/Certificate courses in Counseling and Psycho-social Rehabilitation. To equip student community through academic autonomy to face future challenges.
To pressurize the University authorities to appoint more number of permanent faculties.
