EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

OUTREACH AND EXTENSION ACTIVITIES:

1. Outreach programme under UGC XII Plan :

      The Department has received grant from UGC under XII plan, to conduct Outreach activities for Differently Abled and Aged. The Department organized sensitization/ Special lecture programmes for aged people and awareness programme for differently abled people at Kyarakoppa village of Dharwad district under the Chairmanship of Dr. (Smt.) Jayashree. S. After Outreach programme some of our students undertook study in that village and helped them to get their pension and introduced the villagers to disability centre at Koppal.  Under Awareness programme for differently abled, Sri Prabhakar from NGO Samuha Samrthya which is working for the welfare of the Differently Abled have sensitized the differently abled people.

The Department has been organized Out Reach Programme on Health Awareness Programme at Salakinakoppa village of Dharwad taluk on April 2014.

             C.One Day Training and Outreach Program under UPE-HDU-III Conducted on

 27-03-2017:

            The Department of Sociology and Gram Panchayat, Yaraguppi jointly organized one day Training and Outreach program under UPE- HDU-III on 27-03-2017 at Yaraguppi village on the topic ‘Water conservation, usage and management’ under the coordinatorship of Dr. (Smt.) S.C. Shettar. There were more than 200 participants including Gram Panchayat members, staff, youth club members and staff and students of department of sociology, Karnatak University, Dharwad.

One Day Training and Outreach Program under UPE-HDU-III Conducted on 28-09-2017:

                 Department of Sociology and Gram Panchayat of Kyarkoppa jointly organized one day Training and Outreach program under UPE-HDU-III on 18.09.2017 at Kyarkoppa village on the topic Community Participation in Water Management. There were more than 200 participants including Gram Panchayat members, staff, youth club members, women were sensitized about water use and management.
